We're almost done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Given the fact that it's been eight weeks since I submitted out fingerprints to the FBI, and they stated that it takes 6-8 weeks to complete, I thoguht I'd give them a call today.

A very pleasant woman answered the phone and I told her my situation. She checked the FBI database (that sounds weird huh?) and told me that my fingerprints were entered into the system on January 6, 2005 and that the process will be completed in 2-3 weeks! I can send in the immigration application before February 1st!

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Oh Canada, why, oh why

I've been on a list-serve for Canadian Immigration the past few months getting tips and help on the application process. So this morning while I was sipping my de-cafe (yes, its a resolution) and checking my Canada Immigration e-mail list serve I came across a little jem that says the average processing time for a Skilled worker application in Buffalo (which is the only place in the US for applications) is 25 months....that's two years!

Sigh...maybe this is all a mistake. 2 years! I can't wait that long...I don't see how Buffalo has a 2-year processing time and Mexico City has a 6 1/2 month average...arg!
